Help and guidance if no attendance data is showing in Sense HR for a specific user

If no attendance data is showing in SenseHR for a user, but other users can clock in/out on your Sense Clock and the data is showing in their planner:

We need to establish if the serial number (minus the colons ‘:’) on the user’s clock card matches their T&A ID in your Sense system. To do so:

1. Log in to SenseHR

2. Select the user in question

3. Select the ‘Employment Details’ from the left-hand-side list

4. Take note of the T&A ID associated with the user. The T&A ID should be 14 digits long, consisting of only alphanumeric characters


Next, we need to check the clock card’s serial number:

1. Download the NFC Tools application on your mobile device

2. Open the application and select read

3. From here, you should have a prompt saying ‘Ready to Scan’



1. Scan the user’s card

2. Once scanned, you will see the card’s serial number (Serial numbers are in the following format 04:10:EC:6D:8F:61:89).


Ensure that the T&A ID, associated with the user, in your Sense system and the serial number (minus the colons ‘:’) on the clock card match. Any mismatch will prevent the information from pulling through.

If the T&A ID and the serial number do match, but attendance data is still not present, please contact our support team via the chat bubble in your SenseHR system.
