This article will explain how to add documents to the 'Company Documents' area and manage the permissions of who can view them.

To upload a company document, follow these steps.

1. Click into the 'Documents' section in the main navigation menu on the left hand side.

2. Once you arrive in this area, click the 'Company' option at the top of the screen to view the documents specifically for the company audience. You will also have access to you personal documents via the 'Personal Section'.

3. Once on the page click 'Add' in the top right corner, you will be presented with three options.

- Upload a document : This option is to upload a copy of a file from your desktop.

- Use template : This options allows you to choose from pre-loaded templates within the system.

4. Once you have chosen the method of loading, you will be presented with this screen.

Here you can use the 'Assign to' option to filter who will be able to view this document. The default selection will be 'Everyone' meaning, all employees in the company.

You can remove this filter and select specific locations, departments and even individuals by name to limit the visibility.

If you group needs to be a certain department, but only the managers, you could select the department in the 'Assign to' field and then use 'Exclude people' to remove the employee level people within that group.

5. Once you have applied the filters, you can select 'View filter results' this will produce a list showing who will have access to this document once you proceed with uploading.

6. Once you proceed to the next screen, you will see this option where you can click and browse or drag and drop your document. Add your file using the preferred method.

7. Once you have successfully uploaded your document, you can update the name it is going display with as well as the category you want to assign it to as well as any additional description required.

Once done, click 'Save'.

8. Once successfully added, the document will display in the list of company documents. You can click the 3-dot menu on the right hand side of the document to show the options.

The options available are;

Edit - This will allow you to rename it, update the category and amend the description

Download - For anyone will access to download a copy

Delete - Only available to administrators to remove a document from this list

Click the highlighted 'View history' to see an audit log of the following;

History - Any changes to the document it's self

Views - Who has viewed the document and when

Downloads - Who has downloaded the document and when

Share - Who has shared the document and when
