Our integration ensures that your team stays informed about key moments, automatically notifying them about new starters and employee birthdays.
How It Works:
The integration uses Slack’s App/Bot service to automatically send chat messages to your chosen channel. Messages are sent on the day of the event.
Setup & Requirements:
To set up the Slack integration, follow these steps:
1. Create a Slack App
• Visit Slack API and select “Create New App”.
• Choose the “From Scratch” option.
2. Customise Your App
• Under “Basic Information”, you can update the app’s name and display image (this is how messages will appear in Slack).
3. Assign Permissions
• In the app settings, go to “OAuth & Permissions” under the Features section.
• Scroll down to “Bot Token Scopes” and add the required permissions:
4. Install the App
• Scroll back up and select “Install to Your Workspace”.
• This will generate a Bot User Auth Token.
5. Enable the Integration
• Contact our team to request the integration.
• Provide us with your Bot Token and the Slack channel name where messages should be sent.
• We will enable the integration for you.
