Multiple Line Managers
To set up an employee record with multiple line managers, you simply need to add multiple job records where the job details in all records are the same, but the line manager field is populated differently in each.
The image below shows an example of an employee record where this is applied:
Here we can see in this employee’s job details they have two records of the same job information but a different line manager on each record. This means that both managers recorded here have identical manager permissions to this employee, all manager related to do’s will always be assigned to both and only require one of them to action.
Event Approvers
To set someone as the ‘Event Approver’ only and not grant full manager permissions, you must first ask for the ‘Event Approver’ process to be added to your SenseHR system by either your Project Manager (if in implementation) or our Support Team if you are a live customer.
Once this is deployed you will see an additional field in the employee ‘Job Details’ screen called ‘Event Approver’.
By adding a name in here on someone’s existing job detail record, you will then re-direct any future event approval to do’s to this person instead of the line manager, while not taking any access away from the manager apart from the responsibility of these event approvals for this employee.
